To pay for Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise with crypto, you first turn the crypto into a card, because Anthropic's billing pages list cards and no crypto option (checked November 2026). At ZenVCC you fund your balance with Bitcoin, USDT on TRC-20 or Solana, TRX or SOL, buy the Claude AI Reloadable Card from that balance, and add the card in Claude under Settings, Billing.
This guide covers what Anthropic accepts, why a crypto-paid Claude gift isn't available, the steps, the cost and Claude API credits. Everything about Anthropic comes from its help center and pricing page, checked November 2026. Anthropic can change its payment options, so look at your own account's billing page before you pay. The other routes are in how to pay for Claude without a credit card.
Does Anthropic accept crypto?
No. Anthropic does not list crypto as a payment method for Claude on any of its billing pages, and a search of Anthropic's help center for "crypto" returns no article about paying for Claude with it (checked November 2026). This is what Anthropic does list:
- Claude Pro, Max and Ultra bought on the web: credit or debit cards only, according to Anthropic's paid plan billing FAQs.
- The same plans bought in the iOS or Android app: the Apple App Store or Google Play handles the payment, according to the same FAQs.
- Claude Team: credit, debit or prepaid cards, and no ACH bank transfers, according to Anthropic's Team plan billing FAQs.
- PayPal and Venmo: not accepted, according to Anthropic's article on declined cards, which also says ACH bank transfers are accepted for self-serve Enterprise plans and API accounts on monthly invoicing.
For a personal plan or a Team plan, every route runs through a card or an app store, so crypto reaches Claude only as money on a card. Which card types fit each plan is covered in does Claude accept debit cards.
Why buying a Claude gift with crypto doesn't work right now
Claude gift subscriptions can't be bought at the moment. Anthropic's article on gifting a Claude subscription says gift subscriptions are currently unavailable to purchase, that this applies to all accounts, and that Anthropic has no date yet for their return (checked November 2026).
Some websites still describe a crypto route in which you pay a seller and receive a Claude gift link. While Anthropic is not selling gift subscriptions, that route is not something Anthropic currently offers. A card you add in Claude's own billing settings keeps the payment between you and Anthropic.
How to pay for Claude with crypto, step by step
Your crypto pays for a ZenVCC card, and the card pays Anthropic. The guide to cards paid with crypto walks through a deposit in full.
Step 1: Create a ZenVCC account and start a deposit. Choose Bitcoin, USDT on TRC-20, USDT on Solana, TRX or SOL. The deposit page shows the exact amount to send, the address to send it to and the network to send on.
Step 2: Send that exact amount as one payment, on that network, without rounding or splitting it. Then paste the payment's transaction hash on the deposit page.
Step 3: Wait for the blockchain check. Every deposit is checked on its blockchain before the balance is credited, automatically or after a review by the ZenVCC team.
Step 4: Buy the Claude AI Reloadable Card from your balance once the deposit covers its $200 total. When the card is ready, My cards shows its number, expiry date, CVV and billing details.
Step 5: Add the card to Claude on the web at claude.ai, and type the cardholder name and billing address exactly as My cards shows them. Where to add or change the card on Pro, Max and Team is set out step by step in the guide to paying for Claude without a credit card. Anthropic decides which cards it accepts, so no card provider can guarantee acceptance. If a payment fails, see the guide to a declined Claude card.
What does paying for Claude with crypto cost?
The Claude AI Reloadable Card costs $200 in total: $190 plus the $10 issue fee, charged once when you buy. The Claude AI Reloadable Card is a bank-issued Visa debit card, not a prepaid card, and it comes loaded with $190 to spend. Each card transaction costs $0.10, there is no monthly fee, and the card is valid for 3 years from the day it is ready.
On the crypto side, the sender pays the network fee on top of the deposit, because the exact amount shown has to arrive. Many exchanges take their withdrawal fee out of the amount you type, so check what will arrive before you send.
The table below shows how far the $190 on the card goes at the prices on Anthropic's pricing page, which are before tax (checked November 2026).
| Claude plan | Anthropic's price | What $190 covers |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Pro, monthly | $20 a month | 9 monthly charges |
| Claude Max | $100 a month | 1 monthly charge |
| Claude Ultra | $200 a month | Not one month: the charge is more than $190 |
| Claude Pro, yearly | $200 up front ($17 a month) | Not the yearly charge: it is more than $190 |
| Claude Enterprise | $20 per seat a month, billed yearly, at least 20 seats, plus usage | Not the yearly charge: it is more than $190 |
Tax comes on top. Anthropic's pricing page says its prices don't include applicable tax, and Anthropic's article on billing address and tax says tax is worked out from the billing address, which for Pro, Max and Ultra comes from the card you pay with (checked November 2026). So the real number of months can be lower. ZenVCC's $0.10 per card transaction applies to each monthly charge as well.
Other cards on the Claude page
For Claude Team, which takes credit, debit or prepaid cards, the Claude merchant page also lists two general USA cards, Visa Virtual Universal (BIN 442256) and Mastercard Reloadable Classic (BIN 527520), at $110 in total each. Neither is made for Claude in particular; the Claude AI Reloadable Card is.
Can you buy Claude API credits with crypto?
Not directly. Anthropic's article on paying for API usage says most organizations pay for the Claude API with prepaid usage credits, bought by card on the Billing page of the Claude Console by someone with the Admin or Billing role (checked November 2026). The Claude AI Reloadable Card is made for Claude API credits as well as Claude subscriptions, so the same steps apply, ending in the Console instead of Claude's settings.
Two rules in Anthropic's API article matter before you buy. Claude API credits expire one year from the purchase date, and the date can't be extended. All credit purchases are non-refundable. The article also says purchased credits cover API access, playground usage and Claude Code on a Console account. Anthropic's pricing page says Claude Code is included in all paid plans.
What to check before you send crypto
Send on the network shown on the deposit page. A payment on another network, in another coin, or in a token that only copies the USDT name can't be credited or recovered, because blockchain transfers can't be reversed.
Identity verification may be asked for before you buy a card, whichever coin funds your balance. The account verification page shows what to upload.
Card purchases are final once the card's details are ready. If an order can't be filled, it is cancelled and the whole amount, issue fee included, goes back to your balance.
Money on a card can't be moved back to your balance. "Reloadable" is part of the card's name, and cards can't be topped up from the dashboard, so pick a card that covers the charges you expect. You can ask to withdraw unused balance in crypto, with a $10 minimum, and the ZenVCC team reviews each request. ZenVCC is not a bank and gives no credit.
Next step
Open the Claude AI Reloadable Card, check its $200 total, and buy it from your balance once your crypto deposit is credited. Then add the card in Claude under Settings, Billing, with the billing details from My cards.
